True Christian Love: Take a Stand - Actions

– Christians need to recognize the heresy of liberal “love” theology and refute the false doctrine at every opportunity.  God’s revelation on love as it applies to Human Sexuality is unambiguous.   The Law does not permit homosexual relations, pre-marital or extra-marital heterosexual relations; nor does it continence so-called “free-love relations” under any circumstance.  Believers need to separate from people, congregations, churches and denominations that proselytize a re-imaged Christ within a neo-gospel of liberal “love” theology.

– Believers need to study what Exodus International and other homosexual deliverance ministries are achieving in Christ.  It is also worthwhile to study what psychologists are saying and achieving in the area or sexual re-orientation.  We need to promote the testimonies of people like Mike Ensley - “True Love Changes You: How Jesus Christ Loved Me Out of Homosexuality,” to exalt Jesus Christ and make clear His will and the power of His grace.  Believers need to pray for Exodus International.  We need to support Exodus and similar ministries financially.  Congregations need to affiliate with Exodus and replicate a loving outreach to homosexuals in their community.  True Christian love is expressed by making our neighbours aware of the authentic Gospel of Jesus Christ and by praying that God might grant them the salvation and sanctification grace given you and me.

- Believers need to see the liberal-orthodox theology struggle within Canadian Christendom for what it is, a battle over what is professed to be righteous and what is declared wrong.  The vast majority of the orthodox need to recognize their own ambivalence towards this struggle and take ownership of the result - religious liberalism reached the point where Canada is now a professed homosexist state.  God’s kingdom is not a pluralistic heaven populated by the orthodox, liberals and the lukewarm.  Deceivers (John 8:43-45) have no fellowship with righteousness and the lukewarm make Christ sick (Revelation 3:15-16).

– Believers need to elevate The Law as the standard for Christian conduct, while concurrently evangelizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ for achieving victory over unrighteousness.  In this era of post-modernity and unprecedented technological advance, Canadian Christendom needs an augmented (more detailed and current) statement of beliefs.  There is a crying need for a unified declaration of the Christian Worldview.  To ignore and fail to address this need will only serve the enemy.  The status quo witness within the Body of Canadian believers is an unqualified failure.  Surely the status quo is an untenable expression of true Christian love.

– We long for the spiritual unction of the Early Church, but we fail to recognize that back then converts to Christianity professed their faith with immediate risk of death (martyrdom).  Half-hearted or lukewarm conversions were a rarity.  However, nowadays cheap grace is manifest everywhere.  We proselytize the lost with the more saleable notion of a loving God and His rewards in heaven over the more complete truth – a holy God and the ever imminent Day of Judgment.  Converts are proselytized, not along a path of unrighteous awareness, genuine sinful conviction and heartfelt repentance; but rather along a path liberally illuminated with love.  A path so slick that souls are frequently declared saved without the shedding of a tear, without getting up from the pew, with just the raising of a hand, optimally with the remainder of the fellowship not looking.  Elsewhere, the path is so slick that just parental initiative to have their infants baptized is professed to be enough to save souls.  The very idea of a pastor and not the Holy Spirit giving the assurance is itself evidence of organized religion over anointed conversion.  Still others in our fellowship contend that Christ’s sacrifice paid the price once, for all time, for everyone.  Conversion in this case is a less important point.  True Christian love is not expressed in half truths.  Marketing the Gospel of Jesus Christ solely under the consolation of eternal salvation is wrong.  Jesus Christ is also our Lord.  There are Laws and Christ has not abolished them (Matthew 5:17-18).  What will be a major factor in determining whether Canada gets the needed Christian revival is the extent to which you choose to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind (Luke 10:27).  Anything less is not true Christian love.
